About this Barbados tour.
If you only have one day to see Barbados, this is the tour to choose. It crosses the island from the calm Caribbean side to the rugged Atlantic side, so you see how different the two coasts are and everything that lies between them.
The route suits first-time visitors and cruise guests who want a full picture of the island in a single outing, with a local guide and a rum punch along the way.
What you’ll see and do.
Historic Bridgetown
The capital and its Garrison are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your guide brings the Parliament Buildings, the Careenage and the old trading streets to life with the stories behind them.
Speightstown & St James
Head up the calm west coast through the parish of St James to Speightstown, the island's second town, once so busy with ships bound for England that it was nicknamed Little Bristol.
Cherry Tree Hill
A mahogany-lined road opens onto one of the best views in Barbados, looking from about 850 feet across the rolling Scotland District to the Atlantic coast.
Bathsheba coast
On the east coast the mood changes completely: Atlantic surf, huge sea-worn boulders along the shore and the well-known Soup Bowl surf break at Bathsheba.
Stops and timings can vary on the day with weather, traffic and cruise schedules. Your guide will keep you informed.
Good to know.
We collect you from your hotel, villa or the Bridgetown cruise port and bring you back afterwards. If you are arriving by ship, tell us your ship name and all-aboard time when you book and we will plan the return around it.
